Understanding Incoterms(R) 2020 Rules
The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Incoterms® 2020 are an incredibly important set of rules that help companies that are involved in international trade transactions. These rules are used to augment sales contracts with details that fully define the costs, risk and obligations of both the seller and buyer in trade transactions.
Why this matters to your business
International transactions involve many steps and a close collaboration between the seller and buyer. Incoterms® 2020 rules ensure that costs, risks, and obligations are all clearly stated and agreed upon, which reduces the chances of misunderstandings between the seller and the buyer.
Business challenges you may face without this knowledge
- Business that don’t use Incoterms®2020 rules may not be fully aware of costs, risks and obligations in an international transaction. This can lead to unexpected costs, unanticipated risks and other mistakes in the process.
Who should watch this webinar
- Any business leader, sales person, logistics specialist, contract manager or finance person involved in shipments resulting from selling or buying products in international markets.

This was the first of 8 sessions I found very difficult to listen to. This speaker had many long pauses, repeat words, ums, not conversational, confident or natural. I would highly recommend a more dynamic speaker for this important topic. Far longer than it could have been as well. I quit this one early because it was so challenging to stay engaged and listen to this speaker. Your other speakers have been excellent so far! (thank you)
